After careers in the insurance industry, and high school teaching, Kevin decided to follow his passion and expand his love of coffee by learning the craft of roasting. Having lived in Evanston, IL since 1970 (except for a few years across the border in Chicago’s Rogers Park), Kevin has had a LOT of coffee. So, while some people can “talk the talk” because they’ve “walked the walk”, he knows coffee because he’s “drunk the drink”.

Great coffee happens when the roaster brings out the best characteristics of each particular type of coffee. The coffee-growing regions of the world share important similarities, but the beans they produce vary widely; this is reflected in the coffees harvested in over 40 countries around the world.
